Mascot of the Pan-American 2011 '-'

The mascot of the Pan-American Games in Guadalajara in 2011 is already set. In fact, it is not "a" mascot, but "the" pets. In all three characters were selected to be the mascots of the 2011 Pan.

When they were announced in late 2009 brought much enthusiasm and applause that followed the public disclosure in the Floor Plaza Amphitheater. The mascots represent a lion, a deer and an agave plant.

According to the creators of the mascots (Jose Luis Andrade - lion, Angel Barrera Beard - Deer and Fernando Sanchez - agave) each represents the most striking features of the state of Jalisco, whose capital is Guadalajara, host the games.

The lion, which is part of the city seal, represents the strength of the population of Guadalajara and Jalisco represents very well. The deer represents the southern state and alludes to the traditions of the Huichol village and still has an identification with women. Already the Agave plant, very common in this region, represents the whole state.
